OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

TimeWisely is a product of Steelers Ventures LLC, a Mississippi limited liability company. TimeWisely was built specifically for people with ADHD who need external support for time management and focus. We understand that privacy and trust are essential, especially for tools that help with personal productivity.

Our approach: Simple, transparent, and respectful of your data.

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

App Usage Tracking (via AccessibilityService & UsageStatsManager)

• App package names (e.g., "com.instagram.android")

• Time spent in each app

Why we need this: To calculate your daily limits, track earned time from completed tasks, and enforce the focus boundaries you set for yourself.

Information You Create

• Tasks — names, descriptions, time estimates, completion status

• App Groups — which apps you have grouped and what limits you have chosen

• Focus Schedules — when you have scheduled focus sessions

• Settings — daily reset time, rollover preferences

Early Access List & Email Communications (Website Only)

If you submit your email address via the Early Access form on timewisely.app, we collect and store that email address. This is entirely voluntary. We use it solely to notify you when TimeWisely is available and to send related product updates. Your email is never sold or used for any other purpose.

Your email address may be processed by third-party service providers acting on behalf of Steelers Ventures LLC solely for storing and delivering communications. These providers are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose.

What We Don't Collect

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)

• Content within apps (we cannot see what you are reading, typing, or viewing)

• Location data

• Device information

• Contacts or photos

• Any information beyond app names and timing

WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES

There are two distinct categories of data, stored in different places.

App Data (On-Device Only)

All productivity data — tasks, app groups, time tracking, focus schedules, and settings — is stored locally on your device in Android's secure SQLite database and SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to Steelers Ventures LLC or any third party.

Early Access List (Website)

Email addresses submitted via the Early Access form on timewisely.app are stored on secure servers provided by our web hosting provider. This is the only data that exists off your device. It is used solely for early access communications and is never sold or shared with third parties.

HOW YOUR DATA IS USED

TimeWisely uses your app data exclusively on your device to:

• Track time spent in app groups you have defined

• Display your total time limit and time remaining for each app group

• Show your earned time balance

• Display overlay reminders when you reach limits you have set

• Enforce focus sessions during times you have scheduled

• Award earned time for completing tasks

DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES

Your app data stays on your device. With the exception of the early access email address you voluntarily provide on timewisely.app, TimeWisely and Steelers Ventures LLC do not:

• Send data to external servers

• Share data with third parties

• Include advertising networks

• Use analytics tracking services

The app operates completely offline and does not require internet access to function.

INTERNET & EXTERNAL SERVICES

The TimeWisely Android app does not request the INTERNET permission and operates entirely offline. It includes one educational resource link (dontkillmyapp.com) that opens in your browser only when you choose to access battery optimization help.

The timewisely.app website is hosted by a third-party web hosting provider. When you visit the website or submit the waitlist form, standard web server interactions occur (such as your IP address being logged by the hosting provider). These interactions are governed by the hosting provider's own infrastructure and security practices. We do not use website analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.

YOUR CONTROL & RIGHTS

Access Your Data

View all tracked usage, tasks, and settings anytime within the app.

Export Your Data

Use the "Export Tasks" feature to create a JSON file you can save or share.

Delete Your Data

• Selectively: delete individual tasks, app groups, or schedules

• Completely: use "Factory Reset" in Settings to erase all app data

• Full removal: uninstall the app to remove all TimeWisely data

Early Access List Removal

To remove your email address from the early access list at any time, email hello@timewisely.app with the subject "Remove from early access." We will process your request promptly.

ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE — WHY WE NEED IT

The ADHD Challenge

ADHD is a cognitive disability that affects:

• Time perception — difficulty sensing how much time has passed

• Impulse control — difficulty stopping engaging activities

• Self-monitoring — difficulty tracking own behavior in real-time

• Executive function — difficulty maintaining self-imposed boundaries

How AccessibilityService Helps

People with ADHD need external awareness and structure that their brains do not provide internally:

• External time tracking — compensates for time blindness

• Visual interruption cues — provides hard-to-ignore reminders when internal "stop" signals fail

• Consistent boundary enforcement — maintains limits the user sets when thinking clearly, even when impulses are strong

What AccessibilityService Accesses

• Window state changes (when apps open and close)

• App package names

What It Cannot Access

• Content you are viewing

• Text you are typing (passwords, messages)

• Personal information within apps

All AccessibilityService data is stored locally on your device, never transmitted externally, and used only to enforce boundaries you have chosen.

REQUIRED PERMISSIONS

• AccessibilityService — detects when you open apps and which app is currently active

• UsageStatsManager — backup tracking method for consistent time monitoring

• System Alert Window (Overlay) — displays overlay reminders when you reach limits

• Foreground Service — maintains consistent monitoring throughout the day

• Battery Optimization Exemption — prevents Android from stopping the service

• Notifications — delivers gentle reminders when you reach your daily limits

You can revoke permissions anytime, though this will prevent the app from functioning.

DATA SECURITY

Your data is protected by:

• Android's app sandboxing — other apps cannot access TimeWisely's data

• Local-only architecture — no transmission means no interception risk

• Device-level security — protected by your device's encryption and screen lock

• Website hosting security — waitlist email addresses are stored on servers maintained by our web hosting provider with standard industry security controls

• HTTPS encryption — all website communications are encrypted in transit

Your responsibility: Use Android's built-in security features (screen lock, encryption, Find My Device) to protect your device.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

TimeWisely is designed for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The waitlist form on timewisely.app is intended for users 13 and older — if you are under 13, please do not submit your email address. If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted their email via the waitlist, we will delete it promptly.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Steelers Ventures LLC may update this Privacy Policy as TimeWisely evolves. You will be notified of significant changes through:

• In-app notifications

• Google Play Store update notes

• An updated policy posted at timewisely.app/privacy (the updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes)

Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

GDPR (European Users)

Our legal basis for processing is your consent. For app users, consent is granted via Android permissions and all rights (access, portability, erasure) are fulfilled through the app's built-in features. For early access subscribers, consent is granted at the point of email submission. To exercise your rights over your early access list data — including access, correction, or erasure — email hello@timewisely.app.

CCPA (California Users)

The TimeWisely app collects no personal information — all app data is local and never shared. For early access subscribers, the only personal information held is your email address, which is never sold or shared. California residents may request deletion of their early access list email at any time by contacting hello@timewisely.app.
